I have been puzzling regularly since March last year - well, regularly enough that our dining table is now the official puzzling table and dinner now happens on the sofa.
This puzzle was a tough one as I could not pick up a logical pattern - Van Gogh’s use of brushstrokes and colours made no sense to me. What does jump off from this picture is the painter’s focus and sheer energy of the piece - and all this from a puzzle image. I wonder what viewing the real thing must be like.

Another one of those “only photo in existence” of previously completed puzzles. This one by Rest In Pieces was a behemoth to complete because of the swirling colours and shadows. I remember taking many days of multiple hours of puzzling to complete it, but it was ultimately conquered and it was a lot of fun to finish!

This is a satisfyingly tricky puzzle, as the piece shapes are unusual. The piece quality is very good, yes, it's cardboard, but it's well constructed, sturdy cardboard. The pieces fit together well - not too loose or too tight. The image is reproduced to a high standard. I heartily recommend this puzzle and am now actively seeking other puzzles from this brand - particularly the fine art puzzles.

The most difficult and challenging puzzle EVER!! But it is fascinating. I consider myself to be extremely good at puzzles, but this one, oh boy... it went beyond any parameters. The shape of the pieces (odd shapes that do not squarely fit) and the colours (the sudden change of shades) made it an amazing experience. Do not get me wrong, the fit of the pieces is perfect; the challenge is that the ends do not match perfectly as in most puzzles. It is not a conventional puzzle and if you are not ready for a real challenge, don't you dare buy it. You probably won't finish it. It has been over three weeks and I am only half way there. Big puzzles usually last me at the most two week (1000 pieces). But just to be clear, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!

Wow, what a beautiful puzzle. The actual image looks a lot better finished than it does on the front of the box. The pieces are larger than the standard puzzle as well. Every piece was there too and had nice, clean cuts. No bends, no peeling, and no noticeable nicks anywhere that I could see either. I am impressed with the quality of the three puzzles I've purchased from Rest In Pieces and won't hesitate to buy more from them anytime =)
P.S. I was a little intimidated when I first opened this puzzle and honestly didn't even know where to start. I eventually decided to separate the pieces with the country names and stamp prices first, which gave me a jumping off point and after that it really wasn't all that difficult.

This was probably the most fun my family and I have had together in a long time. The pieces in this puzzle are more complicated than particle physics, I assume (never was a science person). Not only are you matching this little swirl to that little swirl but the pieces don't even resemble traditional puzzle pieces (see attached photo). Prepare yourself.
That being said, this was probably the most fun my family and I have had together in a while, just because the pieces were so laughable. In the end, there was a missing piece though which, honestly, just made me angry. Here's the good part of the story though: I contacted Rest In Pieces customer service and they were AMAZING. Because each puzzle is cut individually, they couldn't simply send out a single piece. So they sent me a whole separate puzzle, completely free of charge.
Really, this was tons of fun and the company was amazing. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of Van Gogh and puzzling.

My teenage daughter really enjoyed this jigsaw. Challenging image, but not so hard that she lost interest. The pieces are good quality. The pieces have a letter on the back so you know which zone of the jigsaw the piece fits in. My daughter didn't need to cheat though!

"The Starry Night" - What an exhilarating puzzle!
I received this puzzle as a Christmas gift and started it on Boxing Day. It was incredibly challenging, frustrating, exciting and surprising, when you found a piece you never would have thought fitted the space you were looking for! Even when I was down to my last 100 pieces, the pieces still weren't obvious.
But most of all, it gave me a newly found respect for the artist, Vincent van Gogh...the shades of his colours, the strokes of his brush...just amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it gave me a deep feeling of satisfaction when I finally fitted the last piece, almost a month later. It was by far the most challenging puzzle I've built and I believe Rest in Pieces will be the only puzzles I will be interested in building in the future. Thank you!

I had the smartcut (random shapes) version of this puzzle, which may have made it a bit trickier, but either way this is a difficult puzzle. The quality of Rest In Pieces is really good, and pieces fit well together, once you have worked out what kind of shape you are looking for to go into a space.
I love doing these kind of art puzzles as it gives an opportunity to look really closely at the brushstrokes making up a picture, and I find a greater appreciation of the final image once I've managed to complete it too!

Unlike a LOT of other puzzles out there that have ONLY 4 shapes that are repeated over and over and over again through the whole puzzle – this puzzle has lots of different cut pieces – different sizes too. It adds to the challenge a bit. The puzzle can seem a bit challenging due to the design as it almost has no thick discernible lines – but again, I like that aspect of it. I actually picked this puzzle as The Starry Night is my favourite painting since I was a child.

I am happy with this jigsaw puzzle. It’s been a while since last time I solved any puzzles with more than 500 pieces. The quality of this one is good. It has letters at the back of each puzzle so it took me several days to finish the whole thing and I think it’s worth it. I enjoyed the process of finding the correct piece to put on the right place and when I put in the last piece of the puzzle I felt satisfied and accomplished. I think it will work great as a house decor if put in a frame and hang on the wall or just place it on display shelf.

Well there's a trillion hours gone. But worth it! Thanks brother-in-law for Vincent's Starry Night. A jigsaw designed by a crack team of sadists. I nearly decided to chop my own bits off. Actually what a fantastic artwork. Painted while Van Gogh was in the asylum. Marvellous!

I am doing the Van Gogh starry night puzzle right now, and this may be one of the most challenging puzzles I have done yet! (only one more challenging was an all-black puzzle!) It is beautiful. My only concern is that three of the pieces (all were edge pieces) had the picture separate from the base. I had to glue them back on once I found the picture part among the puzzle pieces. Thanks!

Last week I completed the Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. It took me 4 days. Biggest mistake was doing it on the floor because my back, my butt and knees were sore lol i am thinking of buying the other classic art jigsaw collections.

Hello, first I just want to say that me and my girlfriend are loving this puzzle! They shipped quick and in great packaging! We’re both finding it to be challenging, frustrating, and fun all at the same time! It really helps to pass our free time at the house. The picture is very clear and it really helps to distinguish the pieces, every little detail helps! That’s my overall loving review of the puzzle because we really do love this puzzle and will recommend it to everybody we can! The only thing we’re having trouble with is some of the pictures are separating from the cardboard pieces. We’ve been very gentle with it (we aren’t aggressive at all with the pieces, even as frustrating as it is when they won’t fit where we think they should lol), but from the very beginning of putting the border pieces together, we noticed a few of the pieces had already separated. It’s not a huge deal, just a little irritating, but we do plan on ordering many, many more of your puzzles in the future! Thank you for providing a fun, challenging, analog source of entertainment in a world where people obsess over their phone screens. Companies like yours help to keep the world the way we love it, and the way it should be :)

I've loved puzzles all my life and they have never been more comforting than now during these pandemic times. I finished the Starry Night puzzle first and am currently working on the Cafe Terrace. It's difficult to section the pieces out. I LOVE IT! It's allowed me to savor the experience more rather than trying to race through it. I've been posting about your puzzles on my social media pages because I want all of my friends to join in on the fun. Thank you and your team for creating such beautiful puzzles! I'm thinking after I finish these puzzles, I'll likely be purchasing the Kiss puzzle for myself as an early Christmas present.
